Learning Objectives: Students will be able to: 1. Use mathematical formulas and graphs to model data and solve real world problems 2. Use Venn Diagrams and tables to represent and interpret data 3. Learn the most used Greek letters and their meaning in the context of statistics 4. Graph and understand linear equations and inequalities in one variable 5. Understand percent, sales tax, discounts, income tax and interest formulas. 6. Understand commonly used length, volume, area, weight and temperature measurements in both English and metric systems. 7. Use basic geometric formulas including area, surface area, volume, circumference and perimeter. Use of Pythagorean Theorem to find an unknown side of a right triangle. 8. Perform calculations using the Permutation and Combination rules and Conditional Probability 9.
