Course description:This course teaches students to safely and effectively identify, move, and store materials and fittings. Students will engage with various types of rigging equipment and hitches used in lifting, stacking, transporting, and unloading materials and safety expectations such as hand signals, PPE, and logistical procedures and techniques. Students will also be able to identify building materials using in construction including lumber, sheet materials, engineered products, concrete measures, steel, as well as various fasteners, fittings, brackets, and supports.
