Course description:Prepares students to apply nursing education principles and methods acquired during prior coursework to develop a nursing program curriculum. Students will utilize nursing education best practices and evidence-based practice findings in the design of a contextual nursing curriculum. Emphasizes the utilization of nursing concepts and theories, teaching methodologies, curriculum development, roles and responsibilities of nurse educators and students in the design of a nursing program curriculum. This project will be presented to faculty using distance technology modalities or at the spring ENMU research conference. Prerequisite: NURS 514 (may be taken concurrently). This course serves as a prerequisite for NURS 544 (may be taken concurrently). (F, S)
