Course description:This course prepares students to apply nursing education principles and methods acquired during prior course work to develop a nursing program curriculum. Students will utilize nursing education best practices and evidence based practice findings in the design of a contextual nursing curriculum. The course emphasizes the utilization of nursing concepts and theories, teaching methodologies, curriculum development, roles and responsibilities of nurse educators and students in the design of a nursing program course. This project will be presented to faculty using distance technology modalities and/or at the spring ENMU research conference. (F, S)
