Course description:This course provides the student the basics of water supply, through hydrants, drafting and water shuttles. The course will introduce the student to the basic skills and knowledge required to operate a fire pump that provides the necessary water supply while maintaining the mechanical soundness of the pump. The students shall learn the necessary skills and abilities to obtain water from sources other than hydrants at the fire ground, and operate a tanker shuttle to provide adequate water supply for firefighting operations.
