Course description:Integration of major theories of child development focusing on contemporary research in all aspects of development, including bio-ecological, social-affective, cognitive-learning, language-cultural, and methodological aspects of research in early childhood development and education. Prepares early childhood professionals to use empirically-based research to inform teaching young children as well as to be researchers in their own classrooms. Prerequisite: admission to Gateway II.
