Course description:Major concepts and techniques of effective classroom and behavior management utilizing strategies from theoretical to practical. Lesson planning, development and instruction taught as the most effective tool in supporting positive classroom learning environments. Introduction to Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Planning. Field experience required. Concurrent enrollment: SPED 320 (required). Prerequisites: SPED 300 (with a "B" or higher); admission to Gateway II. (F, S)
