Course description:This course focuses on the 3-D model building of detailed, functional, geometric forms, as well as virtual interior and exterior spaces for television and video. The focus is on the technology behind the use of 3-D scanners that take the resulting model-ready data to animation or manufacture. Topics include basic optics, image recording, passive vision, active vision, lighting and surface reconstruction. (Lab Fee Required) Prerequisite: ART 352. (S)
