| Course description: | Person and family centered care via informed decision making; Planning, implementing, integrating, and evaluating services, social determinants of health effects, access to care, bias, disparities, and inequities in healthcare, education, and patient/client services; Developing cultural competence through understanding and respecting client values, attitudes, beliefs, circumstances, experiences, preferences and modes of communication; Communicating and educating effectively, involvement of family and friends, emotional support, empathy, respect, physical comfort, continuity of care, and accountability will also be discussed. This seminar/lab meets up to 110 minutes per week. This course is satisfactory/unsatisfactory. (F, S) |
