| Course description: | Course explores military cultural competence with active-duty military members, veterans, and their families. Students will learn how federal policy dictates mission requirements, experience deployment operations, its impact on families, and how helping professionals support global operations with all military branches. Additional topics covered are an overview of military structure, history of war and conflict, and social work prevention, intervention, and treatment modalities supporting military members and their families.
