| Course description: | Facilitative Instructor is intended to produce competent facilitative wildland instructors, and to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) instructor requirements. Students will be presented with effective instructional methods currently in use, and asked to develop pedagogical philosophies related to the instruction of wildand fire courses. Additional focus includes interactive teaching strategies and use of scenario-based learning. Students will be required to produce multiple teaching presentations drawn from or based on wildland curriculum. This is an online course. |
