Course description: | Identifying biased constructs, language, and actions to include assessment and treatment practices; Cultural humility, responsiveness, and competence regarding all aspects of client/professional interactions; Recognizing and combatting implicit/explicit bias, racial disparities, and social inequities in healthcare, education, and patient/client services (social determinants of health effects); Appreciating the impact and influence of social and cultural identity; Recognizing the needs of and expanding support for diverse and non-traditional learners and colleagues (to include 2SLGBTQIA++); Acknowledging and responding to microaggressions in the workplace; Improving self-awareness through self-assessment and reflection, and cultivating professional conflict mediation strategies); Trauma informed care, advocacy, and care for others and self. This course is pass/fail. |
