| Course description: | This course will focus on the theory and practice of sports commentary across various media platforms. Students will study the art of providing insightful analysis, engaging commentary, and compelling storytelling in the context of live sports events. Students will learn the fundamentals of sports broadcasting including voice modulation, storytelling techniques, and on-air presentation skills. Emphasis will be placed on developing a unique voice as a sports commentator, mastering the use of statistics and analytics in commentary, and understanding the ethical considerations inherent in sports broadcasting.
