Course description: | A 360-hour paid/unpaid work internship in a food production environment. An integral part of students' culinary arts education is practical experience in a chosen field. As such, this course places students in a real-world, hands-on environment in which students perform practical tasks. Students will be scheduled according to the business needs of the operation. Students will be required to work different shifts and at a variety of tasks, gaining exposure to various schedules, services and products of the business. Achievement of course objectives will be measured from subjective and objective evaluations of the supervisor and the advisor. Students will prepare a report detailing their experience. Students are required to have the internship approved by their advisor. (F, S, Su) |
