Course description: | This course is designed to provide students with an advanced understanding of the principles and practices involved in fitness assessment and the development of exercise prescriptions. This course aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in assessing health-related physical fitness components and prescribing appropriate exercise interventions. Providing students with hands-on experience conducting comprehensive fitness evaluations and utilizing the results to design effective exercise programs. Students will learn to administer and interpret a variety of fitness assessments, including cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Emphasizing evidence-based strategies, the course will guide students through the process of designing, implementing, and evaluating individualized exercise programs based on assessment outcomes and specific client needs, goals, and medical considerations.
