The historical, philosophical, societal, cultural, economic and political dimensions of counseling theory are included, as well as current trends in counseling; roles, functions and professional identity of counselors; ethical and legal issues related to the practice of counseling. Prerequisite: COUN 501 (may be taken concurrently). (F)
